The start of the season is approaching<\/h1>

Work is currently underway to replace the leaking strut bolt. Metal plates have been cut to size and new ones have begun to be welded in place. The first stage of the welding work has also been approved by the inspector. Work is progressing well and we look forward to pressure-testing the boiler shortly.<\/p>

We\u2019re all delighted that the work is progressing well and will keep you updated regularly here in our new News Feed.<\/p>

However, the start of the season has been slightly delayed due to a few cancelled trips.<\/p>

S\/S Ejdern<\/strong> was built in 1880 at G\u00f6teborgs mekaniska verkstad for coastal traffic in the Gothenburg archipelago and was launched on 14 May the same year. Between 1898 and 1906, the Ejdern travelled the waters around Lake Roxen to finally end up in S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje.<\/p>

And today she is the World's Oldest Propeller Powered Coal Fired Steamship with Original Machine still in operation .. More about the ship and the association<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

If you are 16 years or older and want to try seafaring. Then you are welcome to contact the Office via\u00a0e-mail<\/a>\u00a0or by phone. If you think it's fun and want to continue, we will help you with safety training and a medical certificate for seafarers. A small detail is that we in the crew work voluntarily.
